The insidious nature of coercive control

Practice Fortnight 2023 Launch (Face to Face event) - Practice Fortnight 2023 will be launched by the Director of Children’s Services Sharon Hubber, as we welcome our first keynote speaker Ryan Hart. He will cover ‘The insidious nature of coercive control’. Ryan and his brother Luke Hart share their family’s story of coercive control and domestic homicide whilst leading a discussion on Coercive Control.

In 2017, the Hart brothers released their book Remembered Forever and set up their own organisations called CoCoAwareness. The organisation's aim is to increase the awareness of coercive control. To date, they have trained tens of thousands of professionals in identifying, understanding and ending domestic abuse. Come along and join this important discussion.
