Introduction to Turning Point
Turning Point are the integrated drug and alcohol treatment service for Rochdale and Oldham. We offer support to improve health, well-being and to assist our clients to find recovery within their community.
The information session will include
- Process of referral for treatment
- The current patterns and trends of alcohol and drug use in the borough
- The importance of harm reduction
- Assessing readiness to change and supporting those clients who are change resistant
- Different types of treatment pathways: The role and remit of drug and alcohol treatment
- From treatment to recovery and finding further community support
