Bruising on Babies and Children
        This course will help professionals respond appropriately if they have a concern about a child who presents with bruising/mark/unexplained injury. It provides a strategy for the actions required, and provide an understanding of the criminal and s course Children’s Social Care (CSC) investigation and the different roles and responsibilities. The course is appropriate for anyone working with babies or children.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
-Recognise your responsibility to report any behaviour that may place a child at risk of harm
-Respond appropriately if you have a concern about a child who presents with bruising/mark/unexplained injury.
-Understand the procedures of a section 47 investigation
-Follow national and Rochdale’s safeguarding  procedures
-Understand the actions required when they observe a bruise, injury or suspicious mark to a child.
-Understand of the criminal and CSC investigation and the different roles and responsibilities.
-Understand the possible outcomes of any investigation
